Situation/Problem: To implement an emergent scalable accessibility program to address business priorities, competitors, and client retention, address immediate WCAG compliance needs, and future growing needs, supporting two global business portfolios.
My Role: Leadership sponsor and champion, defined vision, problems, strategy, establishing staffing model, process, how to execute, developed business case, secured funding, and buy-in. Formed, led, managed, and executed the program.
Result: Successfully established a comprehensive accessibility program from scratch, resulting in a 10-fold increase in organization awareness and readiness for WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. Successfully executed the project to achieve WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for a flagship product platform, resulting in over $800k in cost savings and retention of two major client contracts.
